In Memoriam - Bill Abbott

We have heard with great sadness of the passing of Bill Abbott on November 26th, after  a brief but valiant battle with cancer. Bill has been a valued member of the Fellowship (New Orleans Branch) for many years, along with his dear companion, Phyllis Raabe. Apparently, Bill would often sit quietly for long stretches of discussions, and then add a wry, insightful comment that showed that he had been listening carefully all along. A retired lawyer, he loved literature and the logic of legal thinking equally. He was much loved by all and will be missed very much.

The Dickens Fellowship of New Orleans will send a contribution to Bridge House in his memory. We extend our deepest sympathy to Phyllis and to Bill’s family.
