Following a recent run of Dickens adaptations from the 30s and 40s, Talking Pictures now gives an early morning opportunity to see an adaptation of George Eliot’s novel starring Geraldine Fitzgerald, James Mason, Felix Aylmer and Fay Compton, the film dates from 1936.
