The Dickens Fellowship

The Dickens Fellowship, founded in 1902, is a worldwide association of people who share an interest in the life and works of Charles Dickens (1812 - 1870).
London based
The Fellowship's head office is in London, England, at the Charles Dickens Museum. Membership is open to anybody, anywhere in the world, who shares the Fellowship's interests. A comprehensive programme of events is arranged in London for all members, including visitors from the Fellowship's branches.
Branches
There are 47 branches - in the UK, the USA and nine other countries. Each branch is independent and arranges its own programme of events, in accordance with local traditions and history. There are also five affiliated societies.
Annual Conference
Usually held in July/August, the Fellowship's Annual Conference brings together members from around the world to enjoy a programme of learning and entertainment inspired by Dickens and other writers of his era.

The next conference will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, from Thursday 30th July to Wednesday 5th August 2009. Details can be found on the Cleveland Branch website at http://www.clevelanddickensfellowship.org.

The Dickensian
The Fellowship's journal, The Dickensian, founded
in 1905, publishes articles of literary criticism from scholars around the world
and occasionally special Supplements 
of newly discovered letters by Dickens.
It also carries reviews of books, plays, films and TV productions, together with
reports of Fellowship activities and other Dickens-related news.
The Dickensian is edited by Professor Malcolm Andrews of the University of Kent.
Currently 96 pages long, issued three times a year, the publication is available only on subscription. There is a discount for members of the Fellowship.
