The Monterey Peninsula Dickens Fellowship was founded in 1992 and has been meeting regularly ever since. Members meet for friendly reading, discussion and convivial dinners, and they contribute to local community activities. Their newsletter, The Mutual Friend, is published every month.
Meetings take place throughout the year at various locations in Monterey/Pacific Grove.

  • Saturday and Sunday, April 9 and 10: Good Old Days Parade, Pacific Grove. (Martin Chuzzlewit Puppet Show Saturday morning following the parade, City Hall Plaza)

  • Sunday, July 31-Saturday, Aug. 6: The 31st annual Dickens Universe UC Santa Cruz. The Universe book for 2011 is Great Expectations.
