Annual Conference

The Annual Conference has an important role to play in the organisation of the Fellowship. However, the official business of any conference is usually disposed of in half a day and the rest of the time is devoted to lectures, outings and entertainment.

Ghosts of Conferences Past ...

  • 2012 Portsmouth, England In the bicentenary year the 106th annual conference was held in the city of Dickens’s birth, from 9th-14th August 2012.
  • 2011 Christchurch NZ cancelled due to earthquake. A mini conference, the 105th, was held in Canterbury, England in July 2011
  • 2010 Eastbourne, England The 104th conference of the Dickens Fellowship was held in Eastbourne from 21st to 26th July 2010. 
  • 2009 Cleveland, Ohio USA The 103rd conference of the Dickens Fellowship was held in Cleveland, Ohio.
