Responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the Fellowship is currently shared by two Honorary General Secretaries:

Mrs Lee Ault has special responsibility for the Fellowship's network of branches.

A member of the Fellowship since 1972, Lee is also Chairman of the Canterbury Branch and Honorary Curator of the Dickens House Museum Broadstairs. She gives lectures on Dickens and readings from his works. She is also well known for her lectures on costume and social history.

Mrs Joan Dicks has special responsibility for the Fellowship's Management Committee and the Central Fellowship. She occupies the ex-officio place on the Board of Trustees of the Charles Dickens Museum.

Joan also organises the Friends of the Charles Dickens Museum. An English graduate, with postgraduate qualifications in linguistics and translation, Joan brings to her roles experience of teaching, educational administration and charity work.
