Wreath Laying Ceremony, Lunch & Banquet

Among the many special events to mark Dickens’s birthday in this bicentenary year there will be a special wreath-laying ceremony in Westminster Abbey on the morning of 7 February. Details and booking forms have been circulated to Fellowship Branch Secretaries and to members.  The ceremony will be followed by a buffet lunch at the National Liberal Club, with speakers Bob Patten, Michael Slater and Tony Williams. Details of this event will be sent to members in the New Year. In the evening there will be a banquet, hosted by the Lord Mayor of London, at the Mansion House, with ‘Dickensian entertainment’ provided by Sir Patrick Stewart.
